Hello, bloggers! What that all?
Today I bring you a review of a novella that I showed in the last IMM, which was eager to read but has not yet fully convinced. I tell you why!

◆ Name: Skeleton Creek.
◆ Author: Patrick Carman .
◆ Editorial: Bruño.
◆ Gender: Thriller / terror.
◆ Number of pages: 193.

Ryan is afraid, very afraid. With a broken leg and the prohibition of seeing his best friend under threat of changing city, Ryan tells us in his diary what happened that day in the dredge, and what does not let you remember for sure what happened to truth. What did he see. Through
passwords that her friend Sarah sends in secret Ryan see the dredge and the terrible secret that lies behind the huge machine left . Because nothing is as it seems in Skeleton Creek.

If there is anything that stands out in this novel, is undoubtedly format. Skeleton Creek, the first novel in a trilogy by Patrick Carman, certainly has been known for its curious way of telling the story; we must not only read but also see . And is that Ryan, our protagonist, has been forbidden to talk to Sarah again, so she will have to communicate with him through videos that hangs on the Internet at a secret password we will in each chapter.

However, this book is not just convinced me for many reasons , which, of course, are not related to the form. The originality of the format, albeit with occasional inconvenience made it up to score points I was going to put on the content, which I found a bit disappointing in proportion to the reviews I've read.

drawbacks to keep saying I'm going to get with the characters. Ryan and Sarah, who are the stars, get us into the mystery pretty well, but Carman has deepened virtually nothing in them. That is, we do not know just their feelings or his life, only know a little more of Ryan and because we scored a bit in the newspaper. The fact that the writer has deleted these details can be inconvenient and time a success: the novel lost a lot of depth that could have acquired a very good starting base, such as history, but turn off straw to delve fully into the mystery and make it a thin book, quick read and quite entertaining. I, due to my personal tastes, I would have opted for deepening , but perhaps someone who is looking for something fast and light prefer the latter.

Ultimately, a book for those who like mystery and have nothing to do an evening at home, and Internet xD. Recommended , not so much as I expected, but I recommend it.
